Faith Fundal

Faith Fundal is host of CBC Manitoba’s Up to Speed, bringing you the day’s top local, national and international stories. Faith is an award-winning News and Current Affairs multimedia journalist well known for getting to the heart of stories that spark meaningful conversation.

Faith is also host of They & Us, a national award-winning podcast from CBC British Columbia, inspired by Faith’s own journey exploring gender identity.

Born in the Philippines and raised in Metro Vancouver, Faith is a graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology Broadcast and Media Communications Journalism program. Prior to joining CBC in 2008, they worked as a writer, radio reporter and news reader in Vancouver, Kamloops and Prince George.

Meet the Performers

Momentum Aerial & Acrobatic Troupe

Momentum Aerial & Acrobatic Troupe is a vibrant contemporary company that thrives at the intersection of dance, theatre and the circus arts. Born of the desire to tell stories through acrobatic movement, Momentum was established in 2002 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where the company was the first of its kind. Under the artistic direction of Monica Goermann, senior aerial artist Liz Cooper, and theatre coach Loc Lu, the performers develop original creations, from short, poignant pieces to full-length productions. Their work seeks to inspire audiences to look at the world through a new lens and leave footprints beyond the stage.

  • Stephen Haiko-Pena

    VOCALIST & PIANIST

    Stephen Haiko-Pena is a performer, composer and teacher of voice and piano. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Desautels Faculty of Music at the University of Manitoba where he studied voice and piano. He has performed extensively as a solo musician and with various groups including the Manitoba Opera, The Little Opera Company, Underground Opera, The Gilbert and Sullivan Society and Canzona.

    Aaron Hutton

    VOCALIST

    Manitoba-born and award-winning singer Aaron Hutton is one of the province’s most eclectic artists. A versatile performer with a résumé ranging from Baroque to Contemporary Musical Theatre, Aaron has become a sought after crossover vocalist. He has performed numerous times with Rainbow Stage, Manitoba Theatre Centre, and as a soloist with the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra and the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Having been recognized as "a wonderfully talented tenor" (CBC) and “one of Winnipeg’s busiest musical chameleons” (Winnipeg Free Press), Aaron continues to make a name for himself as a formidable vocalist in Manitoba.

    Born and raised amidst the vibrant culture of Winnipeg, Vance Masters Jr has emerged as a dynamic force in the city's electronic music scene. With an innate passion for beats, a keen ear for melodies, and an unwavering dedication to his craft, Vance has etched his name as a respected DJ and music producer.

    Unique Vocal Quintet is an intriguing blend of voices and personalities who love to sing and travel together, so no gig is ever too far.

    Whether supporting charities (Our Own Health Centre, Assiniboine Chorus), encouraging people of all ages to stay active (Manitoba’s 2023 Senior Games, Saskatoon’s 2022 Council on Aging Gala), or singing for friends and family, they share their joy and never fail to liven things up.

    We are thrilled to have been invited again to don our “Dickens" dresses and sing carols for Our Own Health's annual fundraiser. Feel free to join us as you mingle if you know the current jingle!
